Our mission is to preserve the cleanliness of Ohio’s waterways and ensure a
litter-free environment.

We’ve all seen it: cruising down the river in our boat, only to spot cans, plastic bottles, and other trash lining the banks. It’s frustrating—but preventable. The simplest and most effective solution? Keep the trash out of the river in the first place.
To help, we’ve placed Onion Bag Boxes along rivers and lakes. Each box contains onion bags that boaters can grab before heading out. Use a bag during your trip to collect garbage and keep our waterways clean.
That’s the purpose of the Onion Bag.
Check out the map below to see where our current Onion Boxes are located along local waterways!

We’re committed to keeping Ohio’s waterways pristine and beautiful for everyone to enjoy. That’s why we actively participate in cleanup efforts across the state—and even organize our own river cleanups.

We are a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation, that means we need your help to keep Ohio’s waterways clean! We work with donations, & government/private grants to fund this project.
